  John Dorney is the CEO of Revelations by JD, a sales rep & consulting company that offers fine indoor & outdoor furniture and accessories.  In this role, he is a brand ambassador and customer advocate who empowers his customers by informing them of various pricing strategies available to them and helping them to make intelligent and profitable decisions. He helps identifies growth opportunities, responds to market trends and drives profitability across the portfolio.  John has more than 35 years of sales experience and is currently focused mainly on Arizona and New Mexico.  Serving has always been at the core of John’s work philosophy.

 

    Before starting Revelations by JD, John started his retail career at Tandy Corporation/Radio Shack where he managed 30 Radio Shack stores which included hiring, training, merchandising and store planning.  In 1997 his journey in furniture began when John moved into specialty retail, managing multiple showroom locations that sold pool tables, game tables, jukeboxes, spas, and all sorts of game room items to residential & commercial customers. In 2016, John joined Sunset West Outdoor Furnishings as their National Sales & Marketing Manager where he partnered with independent sales reps across North America and built out sales training and marketing, until Sunset West’s acquisition by Hooker Furnishings in 2022.

 

    John enjoys mentoring professionals and is an active member of The American Home Furnishings Alliance and The ICFA (International Casual Furniture Association) where he is also on their Sales Rep Council.  He is CPSL certified by NASP (Certified Sales Professional) and Dale Carnegie trained.

 

     John & his wife currently live in Chandler Arizona.  They have 4 grown children and 1 granddaughter, who has “Papa” wrapped around her finger.
